Dr. Brendan Kearney (Agricultural Economist)

The Changed Nature of the Agricultural Sector in Ireland (with particular emphasis on the impact of climate change.)
A Mayo man now living in Dublin, Brendan has been a former Assistant Director of An Foras Taluntais (now Teagasc) and Head of its Rural Economy Research Centre. He has his own research consultancy, concentrating on agricultural economics and rural development in Ireland. He also has had an advisory role with the ESRI. Brendan Kearney is a regular contributor to the Irish Times, commenting on the Climate Action Plan with his most recent article being published in March 2025.
